Lesley Ann Friedland

Lesley Ann Friedland is the Executive Director and founder of FamilyKind, a not-for-profit organization established in 2012 that provides educational classes and mediation services aimed at mitigating the impacts of separation and divorce on families. Friedland has extensive legal experience, having served as a Court Attorney Referee in New York City Family Court from 1998 to 2012, where responsibilities included managing child protective and custody cases. Additionally, Friedland administered the New York State Parent Education Program from 2005 to 2009 at Kings County Family Court, which offered educational resources to parents in transition. Friedland began a legal career as a Court Attorney from 1986 to 1998, handling various family law matters and serving as a liaison within the court system. Friedland holds a Juris Doctor from Antioch School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College.
