Mitchel Nickols, Ph.D., serves as the Director of Rising Brothers and Sisters and an Adjunct Professor at Point Park University since August 2015. Additionally, Mitchel has been a Faculty and Facilitator for The Advanced Leadership Institute at Carnegie Mellon University since April 2021. As a Diversity and Sensitivity Trainer and Consultant for various law enforcement agencies and Exploring Positive Community Options, Mitchel has been involved in promoting community relations since June 2017. With experience as an author and motivational speaker, Mitchel published the book "PAVED: Passion, Attitude, Values, Energy, and Determination--The Road to Winning and Success," and provides diversity and inclusion training in schools. Consulting for Highlands School District since March 2012 and serving as a professional speaker and leadership program developer for organizations such as NSAPittsburgh and The Chuck Cooper Foundation, Mitchel possesses extensive knowledge in leadership, diversity training, and educational supervision. Mitchel earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Supervision from the University of Pittsburgh between 1978 and 1983.
