Scott Lyon

Scott Lyon is an experienced data analyst and programmer with a robust background in data management and reporting. Currently employed at FamilySearch since June 2020, Scott utilizes PostgreSQL to prepare indexed records for searchability and practices business analysis to support team feedback. Prior to this role, Scott served as a Data Engineer at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held positions as a SQL Server Reports Developer, SQL Data Analyst, and Database Analyst in various organizations, focusing on reporting and data analysis using SQL and other BI tools. Scott possesses a Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from Strayer University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Neumont College of Computer Science.
