As President of Fanatics Brands, Joe is responsible for all aspects of the company’s in-house merchandise division, which combines world-class technology with an agile supply chain and on-demand manufacturing to quickly provide fans and retailers worldwide with the largest selection of timely, high-quality merchandise. A retail veteran and one of the foremost experts on strategic brand building in the licensed sports space, Joe oversees product design, creation and delivery of a broad range of apparel, hats and jerseys under both the Fanatics and Majestic brands, along with wholesale distribution. A licensed partner of all the major sports leagues, this division helps fuel Fanatics’ vertical commerce (v-commerce) engine, which is built for the 24/7 mobile economy and helps the company react quickly to market trends and hot teams/players, better servicing the growing real-time expectations of fans with more unique and innovative products readily available across retail channels. Joe most recently served as founder and CEO of Knights Apparel, a leading seller of licensed collegiate apparel, which he grew into a profitable business acquired by Hanes in 2015, staying on as the company’s chief business development officer. While at Knights, his commitment to creating socially responsible workplaces while respecting workers’ rights drove him to help launch Alta Gracia, the first-ever living wage apparel company focused on establishing fair labor practices. Joe will carry over the fair trade practices established at Alta Gracia into Fanatics’ manufacturing and supply chain operations, reestablishing the company’s commitment to wholesale and brick and mortar retail as it continues to expand its omnichannel offering globally.
