Andries Francois Marais

Andries Francois Marais is a retired actuary with extensive experience in the financial services industry. From 1975 to 2007, Andries Marais worked at Sanlam, concluding a long career as a product actuary. After retirement, Andries Marais assumed the role of chairman of the board at Fancam, alongside chairing the Central Retirement Annuity Fund from 2006 to 2015 and serving as a member of the Board of Trustees for Bestmed Medical Scheme from 2010 to 2014. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Pretoria (1972-1974) and completion of the London Executive Programme at London Business School in 1983.
