Mellanie Kai Lassiter

Mellanie Kai Lassiter is an accomplished director and community investment leader with extensive experience in corporate social responsibility and external affairs. Currently serving as the Director of Community Investment & Engagement at Fannie Mae since January 2022, Mellanie has revamped volunteerism and giving to foster employee alignment with corporate values. Prior roles include Head of Corporate Relations at Pepco Holdings, where Mellanie implemented a unified social impact strategy and enhanced brand transparency, and External Affairs Manager positions at Baltimore Gas & Electric and PECO, an Exelon Company, focusing on stakeholder relations and policy advocacy. Mellanie holds a B.A. in Economics from Spelman College and an M.Ed. in Adult Learning/Training and Organization Development from Saint Joseph's University.
