John J. Fanning

John J. Fanning is currently the President & CEO at Fanning Communications, Inc. John was previously the Educational Training Fund Administrator at IUOE Local 399 from January 1999 to June 2000, and before that, the Deputy Commissioner at the City of Chicago from June 1990 to June 1999.

As Educational Training Fund Administrator, John developed and administered training curriculum for major labor union members engaged in power engineering, energy management and green technology.

As Deputy Commissioner for the City of Chicago, John was responsible for all aspects of operation, repair and maintenance of city owned properties throughout the metropolitan area. John supervised a staff of over 300 engineers and trades workers, and was responsible for developing alternative energy resources, energy conservation and green building technologies.

John J. Fanning has a BA in Journalism from Lewis University, and an MPA from the Illinois Institute of Technology. John also has a certification from the National Insistute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers in Chief Engineer License. John is also certified from City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College in Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Alumni and from the State of Illinois in State of Illinois Disabled Veteran Owned Business. Lastly, they have a certification from the US. Department of Veterans Affairs in US Department of Veterans Affairs, SDVOSB Certification.
