Eli Bernstein has been working as a Senior Associate at Nakamoto Legal since July 2022. Eli also serves as a Legal Counsel at Fantom Foundation since July 2022. Prior to these positions, they held various roles at The Law Society of Western Australia, including Chair of the IP & Technology Committee, and member of the Access to Justice Committee and IP & Technology Committee. Eli has also worked as a Mentor at Orbit Startups and dlab since June 2022 and May 2020, respectively. Previously, they worked as an Associate at Cornwalls, specializing in Fintech, Privacy & Emerging Technologies, and as a Principal at Cornwalls Capital. Eli also worked as a Legal Counsel at Well Vintage from January 2022 to May 2022. Before that, they served as a Mentor at SOSV, working with Chinaccelerator and MOX, from November 2018 to May 2022. Eli started their career as a Fintech & Commercial Lawyer at NXT Legal from August 2020 to August 2021.

Eli Bernstein's education history includes multiple degrees and certifications. Eli pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law from The University of Western Australia from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained an MBA degree in Business Administration and Management from the same university in 2002-2003. Eli also holds a B. Commerce (Hons) degree in Marketing & Commercial Law from Curtin University, earned between 1998 and 2001.

Seeking to enhance their business skills, Eli completed the Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2010. Furthermore, they pursued a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) from the Australian College of Financial Services from 2005 to 2006.

To further their knowledge in law, Eli attended Leo Cussen Centre for Law in 2019, where they obtained a PLT qualification.

In addition to their formal education, Eli has obtained several certifications. These include "Web 3.0 in Financial Services" from the National University of Singapore in November 2021, "Fintech Foundation 2.0" from CFTE - Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship in April 2021, and "FinTech Law and Policy" from Duke University in December 2020. Eli also holds certifications such as "IBM Blockchain Foundation for Developers" from IBM in August 2018, "Certified Blockchain Expert" from the Blockchain Council in June 2018, and "Design Thinking for Innovation" from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in April 2017. Eli is also a "Scrum Fundamentals Certified" professional accredited by SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile. Additionally, they hold the "New Era in Carbon Finance" certification from the marcus evans Group, obtained in February 2009. Eli is a "General Member" of the Digital Law Association since December 2020, and an "FI Alumnus" of the Founder Institute since December 2017.
