Alex Fertig has a diverse work experience in the field of research and teaching. Starting in 2015, Alex worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and Student Tutor at the University of Cincinnati until 2017. From 2017 onwards, Alex joined the University of Rochester as a Graduate Research Assistant and later took on the additional role of Graduate Teaching Assistant until 2018. Currently, Alex works as a Principal Scientist at Faraday Technology Inc, a position they started in October 2022.
Alex Fertig completed their education in Chemistry, with a focus on the field of study. They began their academic journey at the University of Cincinnati in 2013, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 2017. During their time at the University of Cincinnati, they also completed a minor in Computer Science.
In 2017, Alex enrolled in the University of Rochester to pursue further studies in Chemistry. They obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Rochester in 2019. They continued their education at the same university, and in 2022, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry.
Additionally, in August 2020, Alex received an ACS Safety Certificate from the American Chemical Society.
