Kris Gibbon-Walsh FRSA has a diverse work experience history. Starting in 2013, Kris served in various roles at FareShare UK, including Chief Operating Officer, UK Director of Network, Community and Operations, UK Head of Delivery and Operations, Head Of Network Partnerships, Food Programmes Manager - founder and head of FareShare Go, Food Projects Manager, Commercial Officer- Special Projects, and Food Collection Coordinator. During their time at FareShare UK, Kris was responsible for overseeing operations, network and community, as well as leading staff, volunteers, and managing budgets. They also played key roles in strategic initiatives such as the FareShare and British Red Cross Partnership. In 2018, Kris co-founded and chaired the Affordable Health Initiative, a comprehensive whole-school approach that extends to the community. Prior to that, they worked as a Post Doctoral researcher at University du Sud and Université de Bretagne Occidentale, managing research projects and product development in various fields.
Kris Gibbon-Walsh FRSA has a solid educational background that includes a Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Liverpool, obtained between 2007 and 2011. Prior to that, Kris completed a Master's degree in Chemistry at The University of Sheffield between 2001 and 2005. In terms of additional certifications, Kris obtained a Certified Scrum Master qualification from Agile8 Consulting Limited in August 2017 and a Project Management Certificate from MS Project Management Limited in May 2015. Furthermore, Kris is also set to receive an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from The University of Sheffield in 2023.
