Summary: Receive, investigate and respond to all customer inquiries regarding shipments, products, and customer concerns. Complete assigned outbound sales calls. Input/upload orders and relative data into our company ERP system.

Role and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Handle customer concerns in a professional manner

  • Communicate with customers concerning orders, returns, shipments and products

  • Call customers to advise shipments delay and/or information necessary to process orders

  • Manage and maintain open customer orders and customer profile information

  • Support product service and warranty as needed

  • Initiate sale of existing and new products as well as additional services offered

  • Share customer feedback with manager

  • Provide additional support such as maintaining literature and promotional materials, billing on directs, and ordering displays, possible product procurement responsibilities, etc.

  • Partners with our Safety Department and Operations Leadership to promote and ensure a safe work environment and ensure all safety precautions are met.

  • Support walk-in customers with product selection and orders

  • Periodically makes "face-to-face" calls on accounts to improve and strengthen the business relationship, solicit marketing information, settle complaints, or to determine sales potential. May also attend off-premises business-related functions such as company product shows, dealer/contractor meetings, association events, training sessions, mill tours, etc.

Education Requirements: Position prefers an associate’s degree in business, sales, or related field, two or more years of experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications: The individual must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills as well as proven customer service.  Must be detail oriented with strong organizational, negotiating and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work under minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks and interact with others in a professional manner. Individual must be able to have experience in supporting and facilitating the sales process. Must have proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of the Building/Construction Industry a plus
