Chief Financial Officer at Farm Credit Administration

Sandi Walters has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several decades. Sandi'smost recent role is as the Chief Financial Officer at the Farm Credit Administration. Prior to this, they served as the Acting Chief Financial Officer at the same organization. In 1983, Sandi co-founded Walters Music, where they managed various music entertainment and disc jockey services. Sandi also led the Georgia Overdrive band during this time. From 2012 to 2018, Sandi worked at the U.S. Census Bureau as a Finance Officer and Acting Budget Officer. In 2008, they held the position of Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration. Sandi has also held roles at the NOAA, National Institutes of Health, Health Resources and Services Administration, and the Bureau of Immigration & Customs Enforcement.

Sandi Walters attended the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Sandi then pursued further education at the University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business from 1995 to 2001 and obtained a Master's of Business Administration degree. In terms of certifications, Sandi obtained the Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification from the AGA (Association of Government Accountants), but it is currently inactive. Sandi also holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the State of Maryland, which is also currently inactive.
