Clarissa Thompson

Firefly Song Director at Farm & Wilderness Foundation

Clarissa worked at IB and F&W in a variety of roles (counselor to camp recruiter) from 1985-94! Clarissa brings over 30 years experience as a high school teacher and college professor where she taught subjects including English and foundations of Diversity and Social Justice Education. Most recently, Clarissa has been a professor at the University of Maine in Farmington where in addition to teaching, she has worked as First Year Class Dean and Coordinator of the Early College Program. Clarissa received her PhD in Teaching & Teacher Education from the College of Education at the University of Washington, after completing her master's at Harvard Graduate School of Education and graduating from Wesleyan University.
