Sara L. Faivre

Sara L. Faivre is the Co-Owner & Advisory Partner at Farmer Mac. Sara has dedicated their career to helping others grow their businesses and improve their lives.

Sara started their career as the President, Chief Scientific Officer, VP Business Development, and Founder of Viagen Biotech, Inc. where they oversaw budgets, business plan development, business opportunity development and scientific research programs. Sara then went on to lead The Alternative Board of Austin as a Certified Facilitator, bringing CEOs and business owners together in a monthly, confidential peer exchange to provide executive coaching, strategic planning, and profit-to-purpose integration. During their time there, they established the Austin Women in TAB initiative. Most recently, Sara has taken on the role of Co-Owner & Advisory Partner at Farmer Mac where they continue to help others grow their businesses and improve their lives.

Dr. Sara L. Faivre is a Ph.D. holder in genetics and animal science from Texas A&M University. Sara also holds a Bachelor of Science in agricultural business and animal science from Iowa State University. In addition, they have several certifications, including ones from Berkeley Law Executive Education in sustainable capitalism and ESG, Cornell University in executive women in leadership, and The Leadership Circle in the leadership circle certified practitioner. Sara is also a Board Leadership Fellow and Governance Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
