James Gilligan

James has invested capital across the capital structure and in various industries and markets over his 20-year career. During his eight years with Equity International, the private equity firm founded by Sam Zell, he served as CFO, Chief Compliance Officer, and managed investments in Japan, Brazil, and the United States. Prior, he focused on domestic and international investments in credit, private equity, and public equities at Equity Group Investments, the Chicago-based private investment firm founded and led by Sam Zell.

James was also an analyst for Merrill Lynch. He previously served on the board of directors of Home Partners of America, Guarde Aqui, and various other private entities. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A.
