Suma Reddy is the COO and co-founder of Farmshelf, an indoor farming company that builds bookshelf-sized farms to grow leafy greens and herbs. Prior to Farmshelf, Reddy was a managing partner at Akula Energy Ventures, an early-stage renewable energy project development fund. Suma also co-founded Spectrum BioEnergy LLC, a renewable energy company, and SKS Microfinance Pvt Ltd, a financial services company. Reddy began their career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali, where they worked for two years.
Suma Reddy has a background in iOS Development and User Experience Design from Flatiron School and General Assembly, respectively. Suma also holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School. Her undergraduate degree is in Economics with a Take Five Scholar designation in Religion from the University of Rochester.
