Orfeas Voutsinos

Orfeas Voutsinos is a Chief Scientific Officer and Co-founder of FarmVent, a start-up dedicated to automated indoor cultivation systems utilizing robotic systems, sensors, and microelectronics for integrated production solutions since May 2019. In addition to this role, Orfeas serves as a Doctoral Student at the Agricultural University of Athens, focusing on the cultivation of underutilized crops and wild edible plants across various agricultural systems. Previous experience includes working as a Plant Scientist at Modern Farms from December 2019 to May 2021, specializing in indoor vertical farming, and an internship at Urban Crop Solutions in early 2018. Orfeas holds a Master of Science in Applied Plant Physiology and Microbial Biotechnology from the Agricultural University of Athens, completed in 2019.
