Alex Silva

Alex Silva is a Senior Microbiologist at Farther Farms. Prior to this, they worked as an English-Portuguese Interpreter at Industrial Furnace Company from August 2018 to August 2018. They also worked as a Technician III at Cornell University from November 2017 to November 2018, where they provided technical support for plant pathology research. Alex has also interned at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) from May 2015 to December 2015.

Alex Silva has a Bachelor's Degree in Bioprocess Engineering from Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei - UFSJ. Alex also participated in the Science without Borders Program at the University of Toronto in Process Engineering. Alex has received certification from North Carolina State University in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points Introductory Online Course as well as certification from Cornell University in Better Process Control School.
