Matt Kus

Matt Kus is the Head of Origination - Northern Europe at Fasanara Capital. Prior to joining Fasanara, Matt was the Head of Lending Partnerships (Structured Finance) at FIBR, where they built up a profitable and efficient structured finance desk from scratch.

During their time at FIBR, Matt performed and managed origination, structuring, and monitoring activities on 7 securitization funding vehicles totaling over 900m EUR. Matt also screened 105 non-bank SME lenders in various European countries, created and curated a pipeline of over 7 Billion EUR of non-bank SME lending debt funding opportunities, and authored and implemented a securitization funding strategy compliant with ECB GLOM, ECB/EU Securitization Regulation, IFRS, FINREP, COREP, Anacredit, WWFT regulatory requirements and constraints.

In addition to their origination and structuring responsibilities, Matt also managed a team of 6 structured finance professionals performing quantitative analyst (quant), relationship manager, and data scientist roles. Matt also negotiated commercial terms of engagements with legal counsels and service providers.

1) A EUR 120m private, non-STS securitization structure funding German unsecured SME term loans

2) A EUR 50m private, non-STS securitization structure funding Spanish factoring and reverse

Matt Kus graduated from The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance, General.
