Deborah Beard

Deborah Beard serves as the Chair and Associate Professor of Technical Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology since January 2007, where Deborah also co-chairs the Diversity Council. An accomplished author, Deborah wrote "The Complete Book of Technical Design for Technical and Fashion Designers." Previously, Deborah held the position of Head Technical Designer for Target Go International at Li & Fung USA from August 2006 to January 2009. Deborah's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Arts in Teaching from Kaplan University, a BS in Fashion Design from SUNY Empire State College, and an AA in Fashion Design and Patternmaking from FIDM.
