Janine Sleem

Janine Sleem is an experienced interior designer and educator, currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at the Fashion Institute of Technology since August 2021 and as a Senior Decorator at Pembrooke & Ives since December 2020. Previously, Janine held positions as an Interior Designer at Amy Lau Design and as Lead Interior Designer at Stoop, where responsibilities included team management and overseeing various design processes for short-term rentals in New York City. Janine's career also includes roles as an Interior Designer at Urban Pioneering Architecture, a Freelance Project Manager with Darren Henault Interiors, and an Assistant Project Manager at Moss Bureau. Janine’s academic background includes a Master’s degree from Pratt Institute, where a graduate thesis focused on the influence of military architecture on civil planning was completed. Janine has also made significant contributions to retail design and curatorial projects throughout the career.
