Brian Comer

Brian Comer has a diverse work experience in the field of business intelligence and data analytics. Brian recently joined Fast Pace Health as the Manager of Business Intelligence in August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Government Brands, LLC as an ETL Architect from February 2016 to August 2021.

From 2011 to 2016, Brian held multiple roles at Correct Care Solutions. Brian started as a Business Intelligence Architect, where they were responsible for advancing the knowledge of the BI team and promoting the adoption rate of data analytics across the organization. Brian was also a member of the IT Senior Leadership Committee and played a key role in the development, documentation, support, and performance tuning of ETL/ELT processes related to Data Warehouse and EMR data loads. During their time as a Business Intelligence Developer III, Brian generated SSRS reporting and developed an enterprise-level EDI solution for FBOP Claims Invoicing, using .NET, SSIS, and SSRS, which resulted in significant time savings for the support staff. As a DBA II, they had responsibilities such as server installation, configuration, upgrade, planning, migration, tuning, backup, capacity planning, security, and documentation for MS SQL Servers. Brian also provided guidance for functional requirements, data flows, and work flows on various projects and streamlined the production of JMS ETL using SSIS best practices, reducing development time, QA testing time, and deployment time.

Before joining Correct Care Solutions, Brian worked at Smith Travel Research as a Programmer/ETL Developer from 2007 to 2011. In this role, they converted an existing UNIX legacy system to a SQL-based system using MS-SQL Server Business Intelligence solutions and a Visual Studio WINForms frontend. Brian also handled the conversion of DTS to SSIS and was responsible for new development and maintenance of SSIS packages.

Brian Comer attended Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Information Technology.
