Karen Shoemaker

Karen Shoemaker has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Karen currently holds the position of Senior Marketing Manager at FastBridge Fiber, starting in June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Operations & Marketing Consultant with their own self-employed business from September 2021 to May 2022. From December 2020 to September 2021, they served as the Director of Business Operations and Marketing at Lesly Kahn & Company, Actor Training.

In their previous roles, Karen worked as a Business Strategy and Marketing Consultant at Karen Shoemaker from January 2008 to December 2020, where they collaborated with small businesses, non-profits, and startups to define brands and create strategic plans. Karen has also co-founded Yellow Fish LLC from January 2017 to March 2020, where they conceptualized and evaluated a startup fundraising SaaS. Furthermore, they worked with MEDIASATION INC as an ePhilanthropy Consultant from March 2007 to December 2008, conceptualizing web applications for non-profits and collaborating with technical and creative teams.

Earlier in their career, Karen served as the Director of Field Marketing at Winstar Communications from May 1996 to October 1999, building and leading a successful national field marketing organization. Karen also worked at MCI Communications as a Sr. Manager, International Corporate Development & Regulatory Affairs from June 1993 to May 1996, focusing on business development in South American markets.

Karen Shoemaker attended Virginia Tech and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Marketing Management. Karen then pursued a Master of Business Administration degree at James Madison University.
