International Communications Lead at Fastly

Alexander Klepel has a diverse work experience in the fields of communications and consulting. Alexander is currently the International Communications Lead at Fastly, where they are responsible for overseeing all non-US external communications and strategic programs in key markets. Prior to this, they worked as a Communications Lead at Klarna and as a Consultant for the "FAIR Forward - Artificial Intelligence for All" Program at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Alexander also has a strong background in communications and partnerships, having held various roles at Mozilla, including Strategic Partnerships Lead, Communications Lead, and Senior Communications Manager Europe. Alexander has also worked as a Senior Communications Manager at Rocket Internet SE and as a Senior Associate at Kekst CNC, where they consulted on strategic communication for a range of companies and institutions. Alexander's career started as an intern and working student at Kekst CNC, and they also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. Prior to that, they interned at Golley Slater.

Alexander Klepel attended Leipzig University from 2003 to 2011, where they obtained a Magister Artium degree in Communication Science and Politics. In 2006, they also studied at Newcastle University for a year, earning a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies, Politics, and Psychology.
