Nathaniel Abrea has a diverse work experience in various design and project management roles. Nathaniel is currently working as a Web Designer at Fastly since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Product Designer at WANDR from August 2021 to February 2022. Nathaniel also worked as a Content Writer at ProtoPie from May 2021 to August 2021 and as a User Experience Designer at FinSend from April 2021 to May 2021.

In 2021, Nathaniel worked as a Project Manager at UX Rescue, where they managed a team of six design and research professionals. Nathaniel used agile methods to produce recommendations for a non-profit's website redesign and coordinated internal project needs with stakeholders to ensure access to necessary resources.

In previous roles, Nathaniel worked as a Designer at Hargreaves Jones Landscape Architecture from November 2019 to July 2020. Nathaniel helped establish a design system and assisted with a design reiteration effort approved for construction. Nathaniel also worked as an Assistant Landscape Designer and Junior Landscape Designer at HMH Engineers, where they coordinated design and development projects, facilitated communication between teams, stakeholders, and construction contractors, and increased construction efficiency.

Nathaniel started their career as a Design Office Intern at Sage Ecological Landscapes & Nursery, where they assisted with site inventory documentation, preliminary planting designs, drafting base plans, and rendering a site map. Nathaniel also worked as a Graphic Design Apprentice at OPIN Systems, collaborating with different teams to create advertisement designs, develop a newsletter layout, and envision new product logo and branding design hierarchy. Nathaniel had a brief experience as a Graphic Designer at Arming Sisters Documentary, collaborating with directors during graphic design processes.

Nathaniel Abrea holds a diverse educational background with a focus on landscape architecture and user experience/user interface (UX/UI) design. In 2011, they enrolled at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (B.L.A.) degree. This program lasted for five years, ending in 2016, providing him with significant knowledge and skills in the field of landscape architecture.

During their undergraduate studies, Nathaniel Abrea also took the opportunity to broaden their educational horizons. In 2014-2015, they attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, to further immerse himself in the subject of landscape architecture.

However, Nathaniel's passion for design extended beyond the realm of landscapes. In 2020-2021, they decided to explore the field of UX/UI design by enrolling in a certificate program through Springboard. This program, known as the UX/UI Career Track, allowed him to deepen their understanding of user experience and interface design.

In addition to their formal education, Nathaniel Abrea has pursued further professional development through certifications. In 2021, they obtained a certification in UI/UX Design Career Track from Springboard. Furthermore, they also acquired a certification in Learning ArcGIS Desktop Online Training from Esri, although the precise details of its completion are unknown.
