Sheena Maria Simpson, M.Ed has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2007, they worked at Carolinas HealthCare System in roles such as Training & Development Associate, Education & Development Specialist, and Organizational Development Consultant. In these positions, they played a crucial role in employee training and development.

In 2016, Sheena joined Synchrony Financial as a Manager of Learning & Development. Sheena Maria developed and facilitated a 2-day orientation for new Marketing team members and supported their professional development. Sheena Maria also managed vendor relationships and implemented a learning platform to measure proficiency and knowledge retention. Additionally, Sheena was involved in Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.

Sheena Maria Simpson, M.Ed, pursued their education by earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and Political Science from Winston-Salem State University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Sheena Maria then continued their academic journey at Strayer University, attaining a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Education, with their studies taking place from 2010 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Sheena has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In June 2021, they became an Insights Discovery Certified Practitioner through Insights. Prior to that, in April 2010, they obtained the certification of Becoming The Totally Responsible Person Facilitator from TRP Enterprises, Inc. Furthermore, in September 2009, Sheena earned the certification of Predictive Index Certified Analyst from Predictive Success Corporation.
