Marco De Toma

Marco De Toma has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Marco started their career as a Backend Engineer at Cordusio SIM, where they worked on the Wealth Management Web App. Marco then moved on to become a Frontend Engineer for the Valore Insieme project at Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, where they led a small team of frontend developers.

After that, Marco worked as a Backend Engineer at Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, focusing on microservices design and development for Home Banking assets analysis. Marco implemented asset indices and handled report generation. Marco also worked as a Solution Architect for the Multichannel Customer Journey project, designing and developing microservices in order to create a scalable system for Intesa Sanpaolo Bank.

Marco later joined Iriscube Reply as a Solution Architect, where they worked on the Business Bank Accounts Customer Journey project. Marco was responsible for the design and development of microservices and used various technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and OpenShift.

Marco then worked at Swisscom as a DevOps Engineer in an international Agile team involved in the devices and subscriptions order process. Marco dealt with microservices development and release using CI/CD methodologies.

Most recently, Marco worked at Kees de Boekhouder as a Senior Backend Engineer. Marco was responsible for refactoring the existing application from a monolith project to a microservices architecture, using Kotlin and Docker containers.

Marco De Toma has a strong education background in computer science. Marco received their Bachelor's degree in Informatica from Università degli Studi dell'Aquila in 2016. Subsequently, Marco pursued a Master's degree with a specialization in Web Technology, completing it in 2018. Marco continued their education at the same institution, completing another Master's degree in Software Engineering for Adaptive Systems in 2020. During their studies, Marco also undertook a Master's thesis in Computer Science at Linnaeus University from 2019 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Marco has obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2023.
