R Mitchell McCarthy has had a diverse range of work experiences. They started their career in 2013 as a Cashier/Customer Service representative at Sears Holdings Corporation. In 2015, they worked in customer service at Target. In 2016, they had an IT internship at Farm Bureau Financial Services. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as an Application Web Developer I at EMC Insurance Companies, where they wrote and modified custom code and scripts for websites. In 2019, they transitioned to Mythril Technologies, LLC as a Junior Developer, where they developed and maintained a mobile application and web pages. They used Android Studio with Dart for the mobile app and ASP.net and C# for the web pages. In 2020, they became a Software Engineer at Hy-Vee, Inc. before moving on to their current position as a UI Engineer at Fastpath Solutions, LLC since 2022.

R Mitchell McCarthy attended Drake University from 2013 to 2017, where they studied Computer Science. R Mitchell completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science during their time at Drake University.
