Anil Bagri

Anil Bagri has extensive work experience in the field of research and development in the pharmaceutical industry. Anil currently holds the position of Vice President, Innovation at Fate Therapeutics Inc, where they are responsible for leading the research and discovery organization and developing cellular therapeutics. Before joining Fate Therapeutics, Anil worked at Cerus as Vice President of Research and Pre-Clinical Development, where they built and led a successful R&D team in the field of Transfusion and Resuscitation Medicine. Anil also held the position of Vice President of Research at Cerus, where they developed and implemented the company's therapeutic pipeline strategy. Anil has also served as a Scientific Advisory Board Member at Survivor Corps HQ. Prior to that, they worked at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. in various roles including Senior Director of Strategic Technical Assessment and Portfolio Strategy and Director of Portfolio Strategy and Product Development. Anil started their career at Genentech as a Senior Scientist, leading a research program focused on angiogenesis and tumor metastasis. Anil Bagri has a BA with Honors in Molecular Cell Biology - Genetics from the University of California, Berkeley. Anil then pursued their MD (MSTP) degree and PhD in Developmental Neuroscience at the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine. Anil completed a Fellowship in Molecular Medicine and a Residency in Anatomic Pathology, both at the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine.
