Franck Defeijt is an experienced professional with a strong background in laboratory management, quality assurance, and environmental impact studies. Since August 2000, Franck has served as Laboratory Manager at AFSCA, overseeing a team of approximately 24 FTEs and managing a budget of around 600k Euro, while conducting analyses in food, feed microbiology, food virology, and phytopathology. Franck has also held the role of Quality Manager, focusing on the implementation of ISO 17025 requirements and the improvement of quality management system processes. Earlier, Franck contributed as an engineer in method development and validation for detecting PCBs and pesticides in milk products. Additionally, as a freelancer from July 2012 to June 2018, Franck acted as a technical expert for AEQES, assessing the quality of teaching in higher education. Prior experience includes impact studies and environmental reporting at STRATEC S.A. Franck holds a Master's in Management Science from Louvain School of Management and a Master's in Bioengineering from Agro Louvain, along with a Master's from Universidad de Córdoba.
