Kara Milton

Kara Milton, MPH, MS, RBP (ABSA), is the Laboratory Safety Manager and Biosafety Officer at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, overseeing the laboratory safety program with a focus on chemical hygiene, biosafety, radiation safety, and hazardous materials management since July 2016. Additionally, Kara serves as a Community Member of the Institutional Biosafety Committee at Wake Forest School of Medicine and works as a Biosafety Consultant for Clinical Biosafety Services and WCG, providing expert reviews of clinical research protocols to ensure regulatory compliance. Previously, Kara was an Assistant Biological Safety Officer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, offering guidance on safety compliance related to various pathogens. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health, multiple graduate certificates from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, and a Master's in Industrial Technology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
