Pieter Depoorter

Pieter Depoorter is a Veterinary expert at FAVV-AFSCA where Pieter supports the Scientific Committee of the FASFC with scientific advices on food chain safety and animal health. Before their current role, Pieter worked as a Private veterinarian at DAP Devliegher-Hanssens-Verbeken, where Pieter focused on first line clinical work. Prior to that, Pieter conducted research on 'equine sarcoïd' and performed clinical work at Ghent University. Pieter holds a DVM degree from Ghent University and completed their secondary education at Sint-Bernardus college.
