Beth Whitney has enjoyed working in education for more than 25 years as a teacher, advisor, coach, and administrator. She joined Fay School in 2010, first as the Director of Admission and currently as the Associate Head of School and Director of Enrollment Management. Her previous admissions experience included Middlebury College, Yale University, and Choate Rosemary Hall. She received her BA from Middlebury College, her M.Ed from Stanford University, and is CAEP certified by the Association of Independent School Admission Professionals.
Beth was nominated Middlebury College’s Woman of the Year in 1998, received a Marin Education Fund Hero in Education Award in 2003, and represented the United States at the United Nations’ University for Peace Educating for the 21st Century program in 2006. Beth has published articles and photographs in magazines, newspapers, and books, and she was a contributing editor for the National Association for Independent School’s book International Students in Independent Schools: A Guide for Educators (2nd ed.) in 2013. She serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Association of Independent School Admission Professionals (AISAP) and also serves on the Board of Directors of Gateway to Prep Schools. She has presented at national and international conferences of The Enrollment Management Association; NAFSA: Association of International Educators; The Independent Educational Consultants Association; The Association of Boarding Schools; the Council for Advancement and Support of Education; the European Council of International Schools; and AISAP.
