Ricky Berry has over 20 years of experience in the field of network engineering and administration. Ricky began their career as a Network Technician at UPS, where they provided technical support for various technologies. After working at UPS, Ricky moved on to be a LAN Specialist II at Woodmen of the World, where they supported over 1500 users in a Novell and Windows environment. Ricky then joined Geneva Technical Services/Bankone as a Network Analyst, providing support to over 2000 users and troubleshooting desktop and LAN/WAN issues. Ricky then worked at National Equipment Services as a Network & Systems Administrator, where they installed, configured, and maintained network services and provided 2nd level support for Windows networks. Ricky then became a Network Administrator at Hubbell Incorporated, managing their LAN, WAN, voice over IP, unified communications, video conferencing, and wireless connectivity. Ricky then joined Laclede Gas Company as a Senior Network Engineer, where they designed, implemented, and administered complex routing, switching, WAN/LAN/Wireless infrastructure. Ricky was responsible for managing a network of over 60 sites and supporting over 2000 users. Ricky also played a key role in the administration and configuration of F5 BIG-IP LTM environment and the network redesign for Corporate/Branch Locations. After leaving Laclede Gas Company, Ricky worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis as a Network Engineer III, where they administered and supported complex routing, switching, and WAN/LAN/Wireless infrastructure. Ricky also managed various networking protocols and technologies, including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VPN, and Multicast. Ricky then served as a Senior Network Engineer at BJC Healthcare, where they worked in a team to build standards for their lifecycle program and configured and implemented Cisco switches and routers. Most recently, Ricky has been working as a Senior Network Engineer at Fay Servicing, LLC.
Ricky Berry attended Pittsburg State University from 1993 to 1996, where they studied Computer Science. After completing their education, they obtained several additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of cybersecurity. In January 2003, they earned the Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA) certification. Later, in October 2022, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA. Their most recent certification is the Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Entry-level Technician (PCCET) from Palo Alto Networks, which they obtained in June 2023.
