Rodney Jackson has extensive work experience in the field of finance and administration. Currently, they serve as the Executive Director of Financial Accounting and Benefits Services at Fayette County Public Schools, where they oversee the management of a $900,000,000 annual budget. Prior to this, Rodney served as the President of KASBO (KY Association School Business Officials), leading a professional association of school business management professionals. Rodney has also held the position of Director of Finance (Finance Officer) at Fayette Co Schools, where they managed a $800,000,000 annual budget. Additionally, Rodney has experience as the President of Lexington Urban League Young Professionals, where they provided leadership development and community volunteer opportunities for young professionals. Lastly, they worked as a Grant Accountant at Fayette County Public Schools, managing and maintaining special revenue grants.

Rodney Jackson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at the University of Kentucky from 1990 to 1994. Rodney then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Kentucky from 1997 to 2000. In 2002, Rodney obtained a certification in Grants Management from Management Concepts. Rodney later pursued further education at the University of Kentucky, where they obtained a Certified School Financial Manager (CSFM) degree from 2002 to 2005 and a Certified School Financial Officer (CSFO) degree from 2005 to 2008, both from the Gatton College of Business.
