Desandra W. Washington

DeSandra W. Washington, Ed.D, is an experienced higher education administrator currently serving as the Vice President for Academic Support Services and Civic Engagement at Fayetteville Technical Community College since January 2007. Washington has held various leadership roles within the institution, including Associate Vice President for Academic Support, Dean of Spring Lake Campus, and Director of Counseling Services. Additionally, Washington participated as a fellow in the HBCU Executive Leadership Institute at Clark Atlanta University, contributing to the development of future HBCU leaders. Further engagements include the William C. Friday Fellowship for Human Relations with the Wildacres Leadership Initiative and the Engaging Excellence in Equity Fellowship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Washington earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Fayetteville State University.
