Benjamin Dermeik is a researcher at Ferdinand-Braun-Institut, Leibniz-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik since January 2021, focusing on the design and 3D prototyping of ceramic components for vacuum technology applications and their electronic functionalization. Prior experience includes a role as a research scientist at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, where optimization of ceramics for additive manufacturing was a primary responsibility, and a guest researcher position at Uppsala University, specializing in the high-resolution characterization of paper-derived ceramics. Earlier roles include research assistant at OSRAM, where lifespan prediction models for compact fluorescent lamps were developed, and internships at Huntsman and Umicore, where material characterization and soldering flux preparation were conducted. Benjamin holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Augsburg.
