Olof Bengtsson

Head Of RF Power Lab And Group Leader Microwave Measurements at Ferdinand-Braun-Institut, Leibniz-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik

Olof Bengtsson started their work experience in 1996 as a Lecturer and Ph.D. Student at the University of Gavle. Olof worked on projects involving microwave engineering and the design of RF-power transistors. In 2001, Olof became the Owner of Swedish Linear Microwave AB, where they managed and provided technical consulting services, including software development for RF-power measurements and RF power amplifier design. In 2003, they continued their Ph.D. studies as a Ph.D. Student at the Department of Engineering Sciences, Uppsala University. Olof then returned to the University of Gavle in 2004 as a Lecturer until 2009.

In 2009, Olof joined Ferdinand-Braun-Institut, Leibniz-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik as a Scientist. Olof was responsible for the calibration and maintenance of load-pull facilities and conducted load-pull measurements for improved device characterization and modeling. In 2012, Olof became the Group Leader of Microwave Measurements and Packaging, overseeing a team of experienced scientists and engineers for measurement and packaging projects in the frequency and time-domain. From 2016 onwards, they became the Head of the RF Power Lab, leading a team of Ph.D. students in supply and load modulation projects.

Overall, Olof Bengtsson's work experience has encompassed a range of roles in academia and industry, focusing on microwave engineering, RF-power transistors, measurement, and packaging.

Olof Bengtsson has a diverse education history. Olof completed their Ph.D. in Electronics from Uppsala University in an unspecified year before 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Tech. Licentiate degree in RF power LDMOS transistors from Uppsala University, which they pursued from 2004 to 2006. Earlier, Olof earned a Bs E.E. in Electronics from the University of Gävle, completing their studies between 1994 and 1996. Additionally, they briefly studied Electronics at Umeå University in 1993-1994. During the same period, they also explored another academic interest by studying Physical Geography at Umeå University. Olof further expanded their knowledge by pursuing Mathematics and Chemistry at Umeå University from 1989 to 1990.
