Gina McDermott

Gina McDermott has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Gina currently holds the role of VP, Talent Acquisition at FCB Chicago, starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Meta as a Technical Recruiting Manager from September 2017 to January 2023. In this role, they led a team of staffing professionals and implemented strategies for technical recruiting teams. Before joining Meta, Gina worked at Sterling Engineering for 9 years as a Lead Recruiter / Account Manager, starting in April 2008 and ending in September 2017. Gina also had a brief tenure as a Recruiter at Strategic Hospitality Search in 2007. Gina started their career in the US Army, serving as an E-4 Specialist and earning an Honorable Discharge from January 1998 to January 2001.

Gina McDermott has a strong education background. Gina attended Northern Illinois University from 2001 to 2005 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Warrensburg-Latham High School from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Diploma with a focus on College Prep. In addition to their formal education, Gina has also obtained a Professional Recruiter Certification from the institution AIRS in October 2012.
