As the COO, Tori brings extensive management and operational experience through a decade-long career in the animal welfare nonprofit sector. She has a passion for the continual improvement of the veterinary and pet care industry, particularly the employee experience. Through managing multiple veterinary teams during her career, she brings an achievement history in identifying and improving company efficiencies through strategic alignment and investment in key talent.
Tori began her love of veterinary medicine working at general practice while home from college. She quickly jumped in and learned every role she could to keep the hospital running successfully. She fell in love with the fast pace, variety in day-to-day operations, and ultimately the ability to interact with animals! After college, she quickly realized that her love of animals and passion for educating those that care for them could become a career path. She joined the Richmond SPCA and during her time there successfully opened one of the first low-cost full-service veterinary hospitals in the country. From there she relocated to Denver, Colorado, to work for the Dumb Friends League as the manager and then director of shelter veterinary services across multiple locations. She continues to be passionate about bettering the lives of homeless pets and assuring that high-quality veterinary medicine is available to all.
