Carolyn Sharp

Carolyn Sharp is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as an Aviation Safety Inspector at the Federal Aviation Administration since September 2023. Prior to this role, Sharp was the Chief Flight Instructor and Chief Pilot at Direct Connect Flight Academy from May 2022 to September 2023. Sharp also has a background as an Instructor Pilot and USEM at CAE USA and L3Harris Technologies from December 2015 to May 2022, where instruction included training for U.S. Air Force pilot students and international pilot students. Earlier in the career, Sharp provided flight and ground instruction at Berz Flight Training, Inc., and held roles in technology consultancy at HP and HP Enterprise Services, focusing on software testing and quality assurance. Sharp holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University, earned between 1989 and 1995.
