Danny van Althuis

Danny van Althuis serves as the Head of Team AP Twins at Europol, managing a project focused on combating child sexual exploitation and abuse within European member states. Danny is also an EMPACT Cybercrime CSE/CSA Representative and a member of the Violent Crimes Against Children International Task Force at the FBI, contributing to a global response to crimes against children. Previous roles include Law Enforcement Instructor at the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children and participation in INTERPOL's Specialists Group on Crimes Against Children. With a career spanning over two decades at Politie Nederland, Danny held various positions including Coordinator of International Affairs and Team Leader for Criminal Investigations, with a strong emphasis on international collaboration in complex investigations. Danny holds a Master of Science in Forensic Computing & Cybercrime Investigation from University College Dublin, along with extensive training in forensic and investigative techniques.
