Devon V. Maloney is currently serving as a Remote Sensing Researcher and Team Lead for the NASA DEVELOP National Program, focusing on agricultural production trends and crop yield modeling in Brazil during El Niño conditions. As a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography and Environment at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Devon is conducting dissertation research on state-led agricultural projects along the US-Mexico border. Previous experience includes roles as a Faculty Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, where significant work was done on honey bee disease dynamics and habitat reconstruction for native pollinators. Devon has also interned with the U.S. Department of State, gaining valuable experience in political and economic research, and has a solid educational foundation in geography, holding a Bachelor of Science from the University of St Andrews.
