Voluntary Agency Liason at FEMA

Ellen Korpar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in emergency preparedness and disaster recovery. Currently serving as a Voluntary Agency Liaison at FEMA since March 2021, Ellen previously worked as an Emergency Preparedness Consultant for the Performing Arts Readiness Project at LYRASIS since July 2017, focusing on enhancing emergency preparedness awareness among New Jersey performing arts organizations. Prior to this, Ellen managed projects at A Future with Hope, coordinating the rebuilding of homes post-Superstorm Sandy, and held various management roles at the American Red Cross, leading disaster relief operations and overseeing financial assistance for affected clients. Additionally, Ellen has a background as a Financial Consultant, specializing in health insurance plans for businesses. Ellen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Fordham University and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Brookdale Community College.
