Marlene Johnson-Moore currently serves as Branch Chief for Civil Rights Compliance within the External Civil Rights Division of FEMA's Office of Equal Rights, managing compliance programs and supervising personnel. Since 2008, Marlene has also held part-time military positions with the South Carolina Air National Guard, including Director of the Military Equal Opportunity Program and Emergency Management Training Coordinator. Previous roles include Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Specialist at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, where Marlene provided oversight on fair housing laws, and legal clerk positions at the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission and Bluestein, Nichols, Thompson & Delgado, LLC. Marlene holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Hospitality and Tourism Management from the College of Charleston.
