Mike Moriarty has extensive experience in emergency management and public service, currently serving at FEMA Region II since 2008, where the organization focuses on enhancing national preparedness and response capabilities across New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. Previously, Mike occupied the role of Deputy Regional Administrator at DHS/FEMA from 2009 to 2013 and served as a Captain in the U.S. Coast Guard for over three decades until 2009. Additional experience includes directing police operations in Jersey City from 1993 to 2001 and managing the Emergency Communications Transformation Project at HP in 2007-2008. Mike holds a Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law, a Master of Public Administration from New York University, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Dayton, complemented by advanced education at Harvard Kennedy School and the Naval Postgraduate School.
