Nora L. Betancourt

Nora L. Betancourt is an experienced Emergency Management Specialist currently working at FEMA since October 2019. Prior to this role, Betancourt held positions at the American Red Cross, including Program Lead for Volunteer Services in the Southeast & Caribbean Division and International Response Roster Member, from February 2016 to October 2019. Previous experience includes managing Community & Social Responsibility at Barrick Niugini Ltd. (2011-2013), serving as Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation (2007-2010), and working as a Development Specialist at Care USA (2000-2008). Betancourt is pursuing a B.A. in International Relations from American Public University and is working towards certification as a Development Manager in Development Economics and International Development from PM4DEV.
