Chris Young

Chris Young is a seasoned professional in energy policy and research, currently serving as the Director of the OEPI Division of Policy Development at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission since 2008. Previous roles at FERC included Group Manager in the Office of Energy Policy and Innovation and involvement in energy policy research. Prior to FERC, Chris was the Research Director at the Pace Energy and Climate Center, focusing on economics, renewable energy, and utility rate policy in the Northeast. Experience includes a role as a Consulting Associate at E Cubed Company, LLC, providing regulatory and market analysis for various energy stakeholders. Chris began a career as a Peace Corps Volunteer from May 1993 to September 1995. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Development Economics and Environmental Policy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Science, Technology and Society from Vassar College.
