Roy Artin

Roy Artin has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Roy is currently working as a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant at Federal Engineering, Inc since March 2023. Prior to this, Roy worked at E-Comm 9-1-1 | Emergency Communications for British Columbia Incorporated, where they held multiple roles. From May 2022 to January 2023, they served as the Manager of Architecture and Security, focusing on building and enhancing cybersecurity and architecture capabilities. Prior to this, from September 2018 to May 2022, Roy worked as an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect, responsible for designing the Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) solution and contributing to risk management efforts.

Before joining E-Comm, Roy worked at TELUS Communications. From 2010 to 2017, they were a Senior Network Specialist - Solutions Architect, managing new product and solution projects throughout their life-cycle and capturing business, technical, and user requirements. Prior to this role, from 2002 to 2009, Roy served as a Senior Network Specialist, overseeing the technical and operational aspects of public sector and enterprise customers, ensuring the security, availability, and performance of their IT infrastructure, applications, and services. Their clients included prominent organizations such as the Government of BC, City of Vancouver, Vancouver Police Department, TD Bank, Royal Bank, and more.

Roy Artin has a diverse educational background. Roy holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management of Technology from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued studies in Electrical Engineering at Université Laval from 1999 to 2000. Additionally, Roy Artin completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics at the University of Tabriz.
