Cristina Cowan has a strong background in risk management and operational risk reporting. Cristina began their career at Citigroup as a Senior Vice President, where they managed a team and collaborated with various sectors to create customized reports for operational risk management. Cristina then joined the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, first as an Assistant Vice President, where they successfully managed risk assessments and reported emerging operational risks. Cristina later became a Vice President and Manager of Enterprise Governance and Operations Risk, where they developed frameworks and strategies to measure and report enterprise operational risks. Currently, they hold the role of First Vice President and Director of Enterprise Risk Governance and Operations at the same bank, where they lead a team and evaluates current and emerging risks to support the bank's strategic goals and comply with regulatory parameters.

Cristina Cowan holds a Masters Degree in Information Technology from the American Intercontinental University. Cristina also obtained a Bachelors Degree of Science and Criminal Justice from the University of Georgia. In addition, they have a certification in Leading Through Personal Excellence from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, which they obtained in 2020.
